Property relations should NOT be based on what one can “secure and protect” IF one’s goal is wellbeing of all. One should advocate Property relations based on USE and NEEDS IF one’s goal is maximizing wellbeing of all(IF it is true that free association is a component that is essential to our wellbeing). Personal Property: Personal ownership over Items intended for personal use// (Anti Authoritarian) Collective Property: collective ownership of items intended for use by a collective(such as a worker owned co-op). //Common Property: Communal management of resources intended for use by the community// Private Property: private ownership over that which is not based on needs/use, such as private ownership over that which is used by collectives/communities(means of production)////// Free association can be defined as freedom to associate, freedom within the association(decision making power proportionate to how decisions effect the person/people making  the decision(s)), and freedom from the association. Private property by definition inhibits freedom within associations, for the users of the means of production do not have decision making power proportionate to how decisions effect them. Private ownership within the workforce means any decision making power given to the users of the means of production by the owners of the means of production can be vetoed by the owners. Private Property also violates freedom of association: For under capitalism the users of the means of production are forced to associate with the owners of the means of production. Private Property also violates freedom from association, for people are not free to disassociate because economic pressures that result from private property(such as artificial scarcity) often force people to continue to work jobs that they do not want to work. In conclusion: By definition private property inhibits free association.  Free association and our abilities to make rational preferences are a factor in increasing our wellbeing(for we have a psychological need for free association within our social relations and obligation to make sure others have free association). Therefore we ought to reject private property claims if our goal is maximizing wellbeing of all.
